Founded by Steve Woodhead, WPM is an independent construction and project management consultancy specialising in bespoke residential developments, luxury renovations, substantial extensions and professional site management across the Midlands.

With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Steve brings extensive practical knowledge and a hands-on approach to every appointment. His career spans large-scale residential developments for leading national housebuilders through to complex, high-value private homes, including his most recent experience with Mercia Design and Build.

Whether supporting a private client embarking on their dream home, collaborating with architects and design professionals, or providing experienced site leadership for developers and construction companies, WPM offers a professional, considered approach tailored to the needs of each project.

We deliberately focus on a limited number of private residential commissions, allowing us to provide the personal attention, consistency and accountability that exceptional projects deserve.

Meet Steve Woodhead

With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Steve Woodhead has developed an extensive understanding of residential construction, project coordination and site management.

His career includes almost two decades in contracts management, overseeing substantial teams working across residential developments for some of the UK's leading national housebuilders.

More recently, Steve held a senior site management role with Mercia Design and Build, a Midlands-based company specialising in bespoke residential construction.

During his time with Mercia, Steve was appointed to manage the day-to-day delivery of a significant £1.5m+ farmhouse renovation and contemporary extension, working closely with the client, architects, structural engineers and specialist contractors.

His responsibilities encompassed construction programming, procurement, subcontractor coordination, health and safety management and the practical challenges associated with combining contemporary construction techniques with an existing heritage property.

This experience, together with his extensive background in residential construction management, forms the foundation of Woodhead Project Management — an independent business dedicated to providing professional, hands-on management for bespoke homes, substantial renovations and residential developments.
